Requirements:
- Software development background with working knowledge of Unix system administration based platforms and knowledge of server virtualization technologies is a must
- Experience with Linux and/or PC based platforms
- Integration of COTS/GOTS packagees and custom designd software on a variety of workstations, networks and communication equipment.
- Experience with the integration and troubleshooting of large-scale systems including: Integration of J2EE/Web Services applications in the following web technologies: BEA Web Logic, WebSphere, JBoss, HTML, JSP, JavaScript, and Web Services; Troubleshooting applications involving a wide variety of programming & script languages (Java, C, C++, Perl, Unix shell scripting and Visual Basic); Integration of automated solutions for packaging and deploying software (InstallShield, Altiris, Wise, WLST, etc.
- Attention to detail and excellent troubleshooting techniques
Familiarity with the following is a plus:
- Basic knowledge of relational databases desired (Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, and/or Microsoft SQL)
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (SNMP, TCP/IP, ftp, NFS/Samba, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of advanced application server configuration desirable, including performing tuning, clustering, etc.
