Recently, Liberty Bank, a Missouri-based community bank, announced it has partnered with Fiserv's Premier bank platform in order to begin processing accounts in house.
Fiserv's Premier platform specializes in account processing services, online banking, electronic document management and bill pay solutions. According to Fiserv, its solution's service-oriented architecture and integration will provide Liberty Bank with open integration, agility, efficiency and ease-of-use.
With the new solution's architecture in use, Liberty Bank has the ability to collect data from multiple sources and provide its staff with real-time information. Liberty can also seamlessly deploy new solutions, while maximizing its flexibility and integration of other features.
"After an extensive due diligence process, we found that the features and functionality of Premier were superior to those offered by the other providers we considered," said Blake Thomas, chief operating officer for Liberty Bank. "Fiserv also offered strong, integrated online banking capabilities that are rock solid in terms of stability. Our more than 22,000 customers banking online won't tolerate downtime. When we started losing customers due to this issue, we knew we needed to find a partner like Fiserv."
Like Liberty Bank, many other companies have adopted mature serviced-oriented architecture to enhance their technology. UK insurance company, Hiscox Insurance implemented SOA to power its 30 to 40 discrete software components and reported its website is now 30 percent faster
